Deactivating Your Artec Studio License
If you need to deactivate your Artec Studio license, it's important to understand the process and the situations in which it can be applied. This guide will walk you through different methods of deactivation.
Important Considerations
- Deactivation is not available for licenses that were activated offline. More details can be found here.
- This process is meant for rare cases, such as transferring the software from an older computer to a new one during hardware upgrades. It should not be used frequently to move licenses between computers.
Method 1: Deactivation via My.Artec3D.com
- Visit My.Artec3D.com.
- Locate the license you wish to deactivate.
- Click on the "Deactivate" button next to the license.
Method 2: Deactivation During Software Uninstall
For this method, ensure you have internet access and administrative rights on your computer. Also, check that your firewall or antivirus software isn't blocking any Artec applications.
- Open the Windows "Control Panel" and navigate to "Programs and Features."
- Find and select your version of Artec Studio.
- Click "Uninstall."
- During the uninstallation process, select the checkbox labeled "Deactivate Artec Studio" (or a similar option, depending on the version).
Follow the prompts to complete the process. The software will be uninstalled and the license deactivated.
Method 3: Deactivation via Artec Partner or Technical Support
Use this option if you no longer have access to the computer where the license was active (e.g., due to hardware failure, OS reinstallation, or theft).
- If your software version is unsupported, consult this article for more information.
- Contact your local Artec dealer/distributor first for assistance, or reach out to Artec Support via the "Submit a request" button on their support page or by emailing support.artec3d@rev1tech.com.
